If someone asks you, “Do you have the bandwidth to [do X]?” first check to see if you’re wearing one of those novelty blinking neckties. Then blink a lot and sputter… angrily.
Analogies and metaphors are useful for illustrating abstract relationships. But everybody pretty much gets the concept of “time”. Since that neatly sums up how labor capacity is measured, it’d be a lot simpler and clearer to just say “time”.
