Meetings are very useful for getting everyone’s voice heard, making everyone believe that their opinions count, informing everyone in detail of what is going on, translating the project for the slower people…

But, not everyone’s opinion counts, most of what tangential “stake holders” have to say is nothing but noise, informing everyone of every detail is usually counterproductive, and the slow people should probably be moved to the basement or fired.

As for walking, my sister observed that if you walk briskly down the halls people assume that you are busy and important. You have purpose! You have a schedule to keep! You really need to go to the bathroom!
